Neil Funk-Unrau is Associate Professor of Conflict Resolution Studies a Menno Simons college and also, since 2015, the Associate Dean of Menno Simons College. He has a Ph.D. from Syracuse University (2002) and an M.A. in Peace Studies from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries (1983). Neil has taught courses in conflict resolution studies and restorative justice since 2000 as a Menno Simons College faculty member at the Canadian Mennonite University and University of Winnipeg. He has written articles and book chapters on the use and misuse of public apologies and on different aspects of indigenous / settler relations. Currently, he is also one of the co-editors of Peace Research: The Canadian Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies, as well as a Board member of the Restorative Justice Association of Manitoba.
