Updated Resources for 2026
Videos, directories, bibliographies, toolkits on AI in peacebuilding, and climate conflict resources — fresh for 2026 from our partners worldwide.
The Peace and Conflict Studies Association of Canada (PACS-Can) is a dynamic and growing community of scholars, educators, practitioners, and activists — united by a common commitment to just and non-violent solutions to contemporary conflict, whether at the local, national, or global level. In 2026, as the world faces new challenges ranging from climate-induced displacement to digital disinformation and escalating geopolitical tensions, PACS-Can continues to amplify the voice of Canada's peace and conflict studies community. We provide a collaborative forum for those working in peace and conflict studies, conflict resolution, alternative dispute resolution, restorative and transitional justice, and emerging fields like environmental peacebuilding and AI-mediated conflict prevention. Our mission is to foster cutting-edge research, robust debate, and meaningful dialogue on how Canada — and Canadians — can best contribute to just, sustainable societies, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the measurable reduction of violent conflict worldwide.
We invite you to consider becoming a member of PACS-Can in 2026. In addition to joining a vibrant community of over 450 like-minded individuals, your PACS-Can membership also includes automatic membership in the Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA), a bi-national association of Canadian and US scholars, teachers, activists, and policymakers — as well as access to exclusive 2026 webinars, early access to research grants, and our members‑only networking platform.
