“Exploring Humanitarian Law” Educator Training

- Exploring Humanitarian Law (EHL) educator training utilizes an easy-to-use, adaptable toolkit aimed at students 13 – 18 years of age.
- The content of the EHL educator training complements academic subjects such as social studies, history, law, and language arts.
- Includes instruction from Canadian Red Cross personnel and trained local teachers currently using the EHL curriculum in their classrooms.
- Participants receive the Exploring Humanitarian Law toolkit, Canada and Conflict toolkit, and certificate of completion.
The Canadian Red Cross helps disseminate International Humanitarian Law (IHL) to government bodies, the armed forces, academia, policy makers, teachers and youth. They hold a number of events across the country to help educate Canadians on the importance of IHL and to foster dialogue on contemporary challenges and debates.
